✅ Religious purpose

According to Exodus 30:22-25 the Lord was speaking to Moses about how to make the anointing oil. The recipe consisted of Cinnamon Leaf, Cassia, Calamus, Myrrh and Olive oil. It is important to know that the point of anointing with oil is that it symbolizes consecration to God. The power is not in the oil. Anointing with oil is the physical act of expressing the spiritual truth: we belong to God and we trust ourselves completely into His care.

🌱 Scent:

Spicy with a warm and rich undertone.

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil: Olive oil holds significant spiritual meaning in various traditions, primarily associated with anointing, healing and purification. In Christianity, it symbolizes the Holy Spirit and is used in rituals like baptism and anointing of the sick. It's also a symbol of peace and abundance, reflecting God's blessings and the power of his anointing.
  • Calamus oil: Often used in spiritual practices for its grounding, calming and protective properties. Its warm, earthy aroma is believed to enhance focus and promote relaxation, making it suitable for meditation and mindfulness.
  • Myrrh oil:  Myrrh, used in anointing and embalming, represents Jesus' suffering, death, and burial. They were also gifts given to baby Jesus by the wise men, symbolizing kingship, worship, and death.
  • Cassia oil: It was a key ingredient in anointing oil as described in the Bible and used to make clothing fragrant.
  • Cinnamon Leaf oil:  Like myrrh, cinnamon oil was a chief ingredient in holy anointing oil and used to cleanse the air, kill mold and act as a natural medicine. In Proverbs 7:17, Solomon uses this aromatic oil in the bedroom and as a natural perfume or cologne.
